Some General Tips About a Golfing Vacation in the Poconos Region

There are over thirty five golf courses in the Poconos, ranging through all levels and all varieties of playing. Some courses are private and therefore only members of the club can play there, but many of the courses are connected to lodges and resorts, which means they were made for you. These courses were made for the golf vacationer to come and enjoy the Poconos and some of the most beautiful courses in the world. World-famous designers of courses have made their mark on courses in the Poconos: Jim Fazio, Jack Nicklaus, Donald Ross, and Robert Trent Jones. Here are just a few tips for planning your vacation.

Check on what types of spikes are allowed on the course you will be playing. Most golf courses in the Poconos do not allow steel spikes...only soft spikes. You'll also want to bring along proper attire...your shirt must have a collar, and you have to wear pants or Bermuda Shorts. There are also driving ranges throughout the Poconos, and some have miniature golf. For your kids of course.
